Besides being educated on urban farming, dozens of students were also invited to harvest water spinach together. They were also given the harvest to increase motivation and joy.
"The total water spinach harvested was 47 kilograms. For students, part of the harvest is distributed to docking officers and local residents," he explained.
By doing so, students were also socialized about the importance of consuming vegetables for health.
"Urban farming provides many benefits, including reforestation and food security. By being given this material, they will gain new knowledge and can apply it in their own home environment," he hoped.
Farhan Abizar (14), felt happy to gain new knowledge and experience harvesting water spinach. Vegetables are very important to consume, as they are rich in nutrients that are beneficial for health.
"Very happy, able to learn and bring home the results. I'll give these vegetables to Mother to process by the way. Thank you to the KPKP Sub-agency," he admitted.
